The vannamei shrimp, Penaeus vannamei commonly known as white legged shrimp/ Pacific white shrimp/ Mexican white shrimp is the native of Pacific coast of Mexico and Central and South America. It is greyish- white in colour. The maximum weight of female in the wild is 120 g and that of male is 80 g.
